Digital Photograph Restoration
Premier Image offers a photo retouching and restoration service, digital image processing is used to improve the quality of images by retouching scans of photographic film and prints, as well as restoring old memento images. Digital processing is also used for altering digital camera images, e.g. eliminating imperfections, removing unwanted elements accidentally caught by the camera, adding a different background, and therefore producing a new photograph.
We offer a professional picture framing service to the fine art market, art professionals and galleries. Our onsite artwork mounting and framing service will give your images the high quality finish that they truly deserve. We offer contract framing services or custom made picture frames made to your specifications. Alternatively you can choose from our standard size frames that are boxed ready to give to your customers. We offer the five differing framing standards for picture framers to follow, from Budget to Museum standard framing.
Premier Image offers different frame mouldings in a wide range of colours and finishes to suit every framing requirement you may have. Sourced from Spanish and Italian frame moulding manufacturers, designs range from elegant contemporary to naturally clean profiles that can complement both art and décor. Where possible the frame mouldings we use are manufactured from wood supplies from sustainable forests. All the wood cut to manufacture frame mouldings has its equivalent re-planted by the manufacturer. Please note: Natural wood frames will have slight variations in grain and pattern. We will always match these as closely as possible in each frame but there may be some variations in multiple or repeat orders.
We have an extensive mountboard range offering a wide selection of colours, textures, styles and properties to suit your artwork. We now offer a comprehensive mount cutting service. At the touch of a button we can provide just a single mount or hundreds, using the latest in mount cutting technology. We can mount artwork for you, ready to frame, or we can of course offer the complete mounting and framing service.

We also provide large poster prints and digital canvas prints to your individual specifications. We are an Epson approved Digigraphie laboratory The creation of the Digigraphie® label is relatively recent. Digigraphie® was officially launched on 13th November 2003, at the centenary of the Autumn Exhibition. But its practice is much older. For several years, photographers, sculptors and painters, as well as service providers (photo laboratories and lithographic studios), have been using the technology of Epson printers to produce prints on art paper. This in turn has opened the doors to a new discipline: the digital reproduction of a work of art.
Digigraphie® describes a print created: With an 8- or 10-colour Epson Stylus™ Pro professional printer, using Ultrachrome™ inks on certified paper. It's authenticated numbered and then signed by the artist, embossed and accompanied by its certificate. Digigraphie® is the result of many years of research by Epson into achieving the highest technical performance from the combination of its printers, long-established Epson UltraChrome™ inks and the highest quality fine-art media. With Digigraphie® you can utilise the very latest advances in digital technology, whilst being assured of the very highest standards of digital art reproduction. Epson have also selected a range of high-quality art media that are Digigraphie® certified - all tested by independent laboratories to guarantee the stability of prints over time.
We make our Giclée, inkjet and canvas prints on the latest Epson inkjet printers using 11 Epson UltraChrome® HDR inks and a variety of papers. Premier Image is fully accredited by Epson as an Epson Digigraphie printing laboratory. Our employees take pride in working to the highest quality standards and are pleased to invite clients to direct whilst preparing files for printing. We can print your original digital artwork images or print limited edition reproduction giclee prints for the artist to approve and sign.
We can print on a variety of archival papers as well as canvas at up to 44 inches wide and 40 feet long. Sizes are for guidance only. All prints are custom printed to your exact size. Files should be delivered at 300 dpi at final print size, saved in AdobeRGB colour space. Deliver the file as a flattened TIFF or PSD. Larger prints are generally fine to print at lower resolution than 300 dpi, with excellent results at resolutions as low as 180 dpi. Resolution higher than 300 dpi might be necessary for small prints with extremely fine detail. Please call or email us if you have any questions about file preparation. Borders are part of the image size so the image must be scaled and placed on a larger canvas if borders are required. Colour profiles for all our papers are available through us and provide extremely precise soft proofing on calibrated monitors. Please note: these profiles are only for printing on our printers.

- Mirogard Protect, a 4.4mm laminated glass for ultimate protection, blocking 99% of harmful UV light and with low iron giving zero colour shift.
- Water White museum glass is ideal for deep frames and shadow boxes where UV protection, low reflectance and clarity of image are critical.

Its other benefits include it being light weight, free from splinters and a much reduced level of static compared to other types of plastic glazing. It is also available with UV filters.
